Here's how it goes.

Bring your laptop or desktop in and we'll do a flat $60 diagnostic to find the real problem, whether that's a virus, a failing hard drive, or just years of clutter dragging it down. We explain what we find in plain English and give you an honest repair price before any work starts, with that $60 credited toward the repair if you go ahead. Most repairs are back in your hands within a day or two.

Common questions

Common computer repair questions

Will I lose my files and photos when you repair my computer?

We treat your data carefully, and on most repairs your files come through untouched. We can't promise nothing will ever be lost, though, because sometimes a drive is already failing before it reaches us, and certain fixes like a fresh Windows install mean wiping the drive on purpose. So if your photos and documents matter, tell us up front and we'll do our best to back them up or move them over first. We'll always be honest about the risk before we start.

My computer has gotten really slow. Is it broken, or just old?

Often it's neither. A slow computer is usually a fixable problem, not a dead one. It might be a virus, a hard drive that's starting to fail, too many programs loading at startup, or simply an old spinning hard drive that a fast SSD would cure. We'll pin down the actual cause for the $60 diagnostic and tell you straight whether a repair or upgrade is worth it, or whether it's genuinely time for a new machine.

I keep getting virus pop-ups, and someone even called saying my computer is infected. Can you help?

Yes, and here's an honest heads-up first: a pop-up or a phone call telling you to call a number or pay to 'fix' your computer is almost always a scam, so don't call them or give them remote access. Bring the computer to us instead. We'll clear off the real junk, remove the pop-ups and malware, and make sure nobody else has a way in. If you already let someone remote in, just tell us so we can check what they touched.

My computer won't turn on at all. Does that mean it's dead?

Not necessarily. A computer that won't turn on can be something simple like a bad charger or power supply, or something deeper, and the only way to know for sure is to look. We'll diagnose it for the flat $60 and tell you honestly what it would take to fix, and if it isn't worth saving we'll say so rather than run up a bill. If there are files on it you need, let us know and we'll talk through your options for getting them off.

How does the $60 diagnostic work, and how long will the repair take?

The $60 is a flat fee for us to fully diagnose your computer and tell you exactly what's wrong, and if you go ahead with the repair, that $60 comes right off your total. We don't quote repair prices over the phone, because a guess before we've seen it wouldn't be honest. Once it's diagnosed you'll get a real price with no pressure, and most repairs are finished within a day or two.

Whatever broke, we’ve probably seen it. Let’s take a look.

We don’t price repairs over the phone — we look first, so the number’s real. The $60 to look comes right off your repair, and walk-ins are always welcome. Look for the blue door with the stairs on the left side of the parking lot — knock if it’s locked, we’re here.
