What to expect
Here's how it goes.
It starts with a conversation, not a shopping cart: we ask your budget and which games you actually play, then pick parts that squeeze the most out of every dollar and build the machine by hand. Before it leaves the shop we stress-test it to make sure it runs cool and stable under load, not just that it powers on. You pick it up locally here in South Bend, and if you ever have a question down the road there's a real person to call.
Common questions
Common custom pcs questions
How much does a custom gaming PC cost?
There's no single price, because we build to your budget and the games you play — a machine for smooth 1080p gaming costs a good bit less than one built for high-refresh or 4K play. Tell us your number and what you like to play, and we'll put together the strongest build we can for it. This is a build, not a repair, so there's no $60 diagnostic fee here — just an honest parts-and-labor quote you approve before we order a single thing.
Will it actually run the games I play well?
That's exactly why we ask what you play before we pick a single part. We build around your real games and the resolution and frame rate you're after, instead of selling you more (or less) than you need. We won't promise an exact frame number for every title, but we'll be straight about what your budget will and won't do before you commit to it.
Can I pick the parts, or even bring my own?
Yes to both. We're happy to walk through the full parts list with you so you know exactly what's going in — no mystery components and no markup games — and you're welcome to supply parts you already have. If something you picked isn't a good match for the rest of the build or your budget, we'll tell you honestly rather than just bolt it in and stay quiet.
How long does it take, and where do I pick it up?
Once we've agreed on the parts and they're in stock, a typical build takes a few days — not the same hour — because we don't just assemble it and hand it over. We stress-test it first to be sure it stays cool and stable under load. Pickup is local, right here at our shop at 746 S Arnold St Suite 7 in South Bend, and we'll have it ready to go and call you when it's done.
What if something stops working after I bring it home?
The parts we use come with their own manufacturer warranties — often several years on things like the graphics card and power supply — and we'll point those out so you know what's covered. The real upside of building local is that you're not shipping a tower across the country if there's ever a hiccup: you bring it back to us here in South Bend and we'll help you sort it out.
Whatever broke, we’ve probably seen it. Let’s take a look.
We don’t price repairs over the phone — we look first, so the number’s real. The $60 to look comes right off your repair, and walk-ins are always welcome. Look for the blue door with the stairs on the left side of the parking lot — knock if it’s locked, we’re here.
